We seem to have a glut of them (2 or 3 a day, we are in north London). I don't mind well yes I do but hey ho if they are nice and don't push when I say no but recently it hasn't been that way. Last week we had a woman collecting for a charity I'd never heard of (not sales but same issue) who just talked at me and I couldn't get a word in.
Last night we had a guy selling sponges etc who, when I said I wasn't interested and closed the door (it was after 9.30pm) opened the letterbox and shouted that next time "he'd give me a fiver to be nice". I'm sorry to say that I did lose my temper and shouted "Go Away".
I never though I'd become one of those people who refuse to answer the door but I'm finding it wearing. I hate this sort of confrontation.
