Upstairs have a JRT. There is dogs piss outside my door (not against my door but opposite) . Its happened a few times before. I have sucked it up and gone out there with a mop and cleared it up.

I cleaned again on weds. Bleached the floors, swept up....and it looked and smelt as nice as it could do.

I have just gone to take some rubbish out and its there AGAIN!! Against a wall and its a dog amount (not cat) of piss!!

So, I go upstairs and knock on there door. A DOG comes out, I tell the bloke that i saw him take his dog out a hour ago and suddenly there is a puddle of piss down there too.

Quote "Its not my dog" .

Me (very careful not to imply the blame, and as polite as I can be ) , "Well it wasn't there earlier and as you are the only one with a dog that I know of in the building. I am just saying that if it doesn't start getting cleared up then I will complain to the landlord (HA) "

Him (getting slightly defensive)" Well do you not think that if he did it then I would clear it up? Maybe its cats. I am not clearing up another animals piss!"

Me , "No I don't want to either so you can see my point. And as I don't have any animals that go in the hallway I am getting sick of clearing it up. All I am just saying that if it carries on then I will make a formal complaint, but if its not your dog (it is) then you have nothing to worry about"

ITS FUCKING DISGUSTING!!

There are kids who walk through the hallway, inc mine. Not to mention very dis respectful in my eyes. WTF who he think if my dog pissed outside his door??? Angry

Sorry, turned into a rant but I am Angry !!!

  1. I hope you didn't "suck it up" because that would be even more gross than the wee.

  2. How do you know it's dog wee?

StealthPolarBear · 29/07/2012 18:06

oh that is so odd it's not on my Threads Im On
Wonder if I have hidden it
oops Blush
Thank you

  1. No. Gross Grin
  1. Its against a wall (corner), dog height, a dog amount of pee. It wasn't there this afternoon, he took his dog out about 4.15, I go out at 5 and its there.
My neighbour has also seen his dog (not today) cock his leg and pee in the hallway . She spys through her peephole!

YANBU

StrandedOnThePodium · 29/07/2012 18:42

YANBU. But you need to be careful that he doesn't make the dog piss up your door to make a point.

Sympathy. We had rough neighbours whose staffordshire bull terrier which they had "for protection" Hmm used to leap our high garden wall and shit in our garden. It was infuriating. Their response was to shrug and do a "well what can you do" thing. So glad we moved.

wriggletto · 29/07/2012 19:00

Ew. If my dog did that I'd be absolutely mortified. As a side point - sorry - if you find dog pee there again and have to clear it up, use bio washing powder, as bleach doesn't get rid of the chemicals that dogs associate with urinating.

NaturalWinningNaturesTeamGB · 29/07/2012 19:06

Yanbu, my neighbour has a "pee on sight" staffie and the more excited it gets the more pee comes out, trailed in the communal hallway.

It's also not his dog peeing Hmm this is where being crazy comes in useful though

BonkeySaysTeamGBAreTheMollocks · 29/07/2012 19:10

Bio powder? Thanks, will try that if I need to which no doubt I will .

i can relate to this. ydnbu!

the people up stair have a dog, the only one to have a dog, my block has 5 flats in so i am certain of if other people have dogs, the dog always pisses on the same step, in the stair way.. i can just about deal with that. but it occasionaly shit in the halway out side my door.
soo iv taken to picking it up in a bag an dputting out side her door.

the first time she went round knocking asking who did it, i owned up and said it was disgusting. her defence was it wasnt her dog because the poo was to big!! and the peeing on the step was due to other dogs and people coming in every night (ignoring the fact we have a buzzer to get in ) and urinating on the same step for every night for the past how many months..

i would complain if it keeps happening. x
