Hello.

It's very good news. The ovary has returned to normal.

Hemorrhagic cyst, has now dispersed, i saw the ultrasound last week, and the ovary is also functioning fine!! They had told me it was a non functioning ovary, and dd may well have had to have an oopherectomy (funny word!).

It was a rare thing that she had, and the bleeding from the follicle/cyst at ovulation caused the ovary to swell and swell making it immensly painful.

I want to thank you all for the support, it was lovely to come on here and see your concerns and advice, it was a tense time. I hope that everyone is well.

Great news. Will she still continue to have periods now then, even though she is so young?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/07/2012 22:53

Good news pirate

weirdly enough I was thinking about your DD today (spooky)

I posted about my 10 yo DD having cramp and was it too early for puberty.
Someone suggested I read Piratecat thread about her DD (she's a little bit older than my DD IIRC)

So I did.... and oh my God -poor girl.
Glad she's on the up and up Smile

piratecat · 28/07/2012 10:56

hiya, no ten is not too young!! as we have discovered. I hope my threads (there are a few) might help with allthis early period malarky.

original thread it's long

Dd has had another period, in fact she came on the very day she returned to school, poor love. That cycle was about 60 days. x

It'sgood that it is getting sorted out.

I posted on the other thread.

I think that a lot of GP's need their knowledge in this area up dating as many will try to fob off a young girl or put them on the pill, before any investigation has taken place, which can make some conditions worse.

There seems to be a lot of docors that don't realise that problem periods/cramps are not normal and are now diagnosable and treatable so females no longer have to suffer.

RandomMess · 28/07/2012 13:08

So pleased for you and your dd Smile

SageYourOracle · 28/07/2012 16:09

I remember the original thread. That's really great news! It's lovely when people come back to update.

thebody · 28/07/2012 16:39

Fantastic, great news xx

Glad the cyst has dispersed. You must be so relieved. I hope your DD never has to go through that again.
