I deleted my account, I am just sick and tired of the same people moaning, the bitchyness and seeing pictures of animal and child abuse or the pictures that say like this picture if you live your mum scroll if you don't.

Do far I have had 8 calls and about 20 text asking if I am ok Hmm now I know I was on Facebook every spare minute I had but seriously alot of calls and text because deleted my account

Sounds like people care, if they have noticed a big change in you (going from being on there a lot to leaving) then they may be concerned something has upset you.

Mrsjay · 22/07/2012 19:19

I guess people worry facebook is the modern phone call or seeing you in the street every day they want to make sure you are ok saying that no deleting facebook isnt the end of the world. I did put a status up for a week I had nothing on my mind Grin when i did post i had people saying oh i wondered where you were, and are you ok

squeakytoy · 22/07/2012 19:20

If you were constantly on FB, then your friends are probably wondering why you have done a flounce.

Why delete your account? Why not just stop logging in.

The joys of fakebook GrinGrinGrin

Well done for freeing yourself, it can be a real bind Sad

worrywortisworrying · 22/07/2012 19:22

I guess they are worried that you've flounced... that one event / comment / item has caused you to close your account.

They care.

Sounds like you have some decent friends.

McHappyPants2012 · 22/07/2012 19:22

Squeakytoy because I wanted to get rid of Facebook all together.

But I didn't look at it that people would worry

the sooner the whole world deletes their facebook accounts, the better.

usualsuspect · 22/07/2012 19:31

I like my FB , the secret is to have only people you like on it

PedanticPanda · 22/07/2012 19:37

They're probably worried you've deleted/blocked them. When I deleted mine I had the same calls and texts and after I had explained that I'd deactivated my account people said that was something they'd worried about.

MidnightKnitter · 22/07/2012 19:40

How do you delete it properly? Mine is de activated but i would love to get rid completely.

PenisVanLesbian · 22/07/2012 19:44

I don't really understand posts moaning about facebook. Its not fb's problem that you have a load of annoying twats on your friends list.

See, I have a small friends list of people I actually like and aren't cunts, and I have a peaceful and useful FB experience. It's a radical approach but it might just catch on....

McHappyPants2012 · 22/07/2012 19:51

Penisvanlesbian ( love your NN) that's why I choose to delete :)

I deleted as I was bored with it. I never posted and hid posts from people who I thought were boring. (most people's?).

I was also concerned with the security/intrusiveness side of it.

MN'ing is much better.

I am going to bed now remembers noone gives a.....
