Bought the boy's a load of tomy thomas the tank train set at the car boot today (it came in a huge wheeled plastic crate) it cost us £15 ... to us thats quite a bit of money for a toy when its not b'day or christmas.

Me and DH set it all up all around the garden and both boys have been happily playing TOGETHER with it for nearly an hour..... They never play together..... ever.

WIBU to open the wine sit in the garden and watch Thomas, james Toby Spencer and Gorden puff along the tracks?

YANBU at all. In fact, I will open one, too, to show solidarity in this hour of celebratory relief.

YANBU

My twins HATE each other. If they ever learn to play together, I'll be opening vintage champagne not that I can afford it Grin

Enjoy Smile

Yes crack it open, it's a gorgeous day, enjoy it!

CoffeeDog · 22/07/2012 16:44

done... am now thinking of dipping toes in the paddeling pool / rockpool of doom ;)

My Boys before today hated each other and will fight hit/scream/bite each other but are perfectly lovley boys to any other child.... I kept thinking it was a stage and they will grow out of it and learn to love each other.... then the mum at the school with reception aged twins told me it only gets worse as they get older ;)

Enjoy your wine.
My two (b/g) fight like cat and dog most days but I get all warm and fuzzy when they are in their 'we are best friends' mode. They start school next month and for the first time ever there will be two primary 1 classes (small school but a big new one is being built to replace it) so I jumped at the chance to split them up as I want to find out how their school work is doing not that they keep fighting!

Svrider · 22/07/2012 16:55

R they still playing?
Has ww3 broken out over who has the best Thomas??

LadyEnglefield · 22/07/2012 16:56

YANBU.

My two have bickered all day...may just have to crack open a bottle of wine so that I can cope with it.

claireinmodena · 22/07/2012 17:01

All this to look forward to! Mine are only 5 months... Should I prepare myself then??

YANBU at all!

CoffeeDog · 22/07/2012 17:05

They are STILL playing together... they divided up the trains so they each have 'theirs' and they are walking around the track following the battery trains... I am on my second glass ;)

YANBU - Enjoy it !

My youngest bros aren't twins but there is under 2 years between them. They hated each other until about 15/17 when they started smoking and drinking hanging out together. They are now 22/24 and have shared a flat for 2 years and are genuine best friends. My parents are still constantly marvelling at it after 15 years of worrying they would kill each other. There is hope! (eventually)

accessorizequeen · 22/07/2012 17:56

God yes, enjoy it while you can! How old are they? My 2 are 3.10 b/g and there's a lot of bickering at the moment. I thought they were getting a lot better, don't tell me it will get worse next year! I can see them growing apart as DD gets more girly but 5yo ds2 and 8yo ds1 are finally getting on after 3 years of fighting. I've no idea what changed.

liketochat1 · 22/07/2012 18:03

There's 20 mths between my 2 sons. The constant bickering is at times unbearable. Enjoy your wine. Definitely celebration time.
