We get on well and chat over the fence but they are so noisy.
They have 2 teenage sons who play loud thumping music.
The thought of 6 weeks holiday......aaaarggh.
Plus they have a dog which barks all day. Its a rottweiler and chained up in the back garden.
I have young dc so I'm grateful that its on a chain but the noise is awful.
I often text her asking her to get the boys to turn the bass down and she's aware of how noisy They are but its really annoying.
This morning I said the dog had stood barking for 45 mins yesterday.
She said I should have told the boys to shut it up.
No. It DOES NOT SHUT UP!!
6 weeks of this is an awful thought.

How long in a 24hr period is the dog chained up for and does it have shelter?

If the DC are teenagers, might be worth talking to them directly? Some people are scared of/look down on teenagers, but they are young adults and maybe you could appeal to their mature side by pointing out the problems and offering a compromise. And threaten to let your DC out to play at 6am if they don't cooperate...

Does it have a run and kennel?

Is it exercised properly (it probably needs a good few miles of walking a day).

Sounds like no-one is paying it any attention.

Oh, yes and the noisy teenage music - I agree with knowitall, speak to them directly about it.

Little divvils. Play some very loud lounge music of a cheesey nature to drown them out.

The dog is out probably 3 hours a day. The chain is long. He has water and shade.
I've spoken to the boys. They say its not loud but its the boom boom of the base that's annoying.
I've said come to my house and listen but they laugh and turn it down......til the next time.
They walk the Dog 3 or 4 times a day for a decent time.
Their old dog was very placid and never barked. This one is a nuisance. They admit it.
