I can't understand it! I have nothing against gay people I have friends who are gay, but GM was arrested for what he got up to in that toilet. Also he has been done at least twice for being on drugs whilst in charge of a car!!! He is hardly a great example!!! People still think he is great. I dont understand it!!!

OP posts:

And I WILL become his backing singer, one day

aquashiv · 18/07/2012 23:33

brilliant rendition even if Stevie did first.

TheUnsinkableTitanic · 18/07/2012 23:35

aqua - i never knew that was a cover

great song :)

gatheringlilac · 18/07/2012 23:40

Thanks UnsinkableTitanic.

perceptionreality · 18/07/2012 23:42

He has an amazing, unique voice.

The 'I have nothing against gay people' sounds a bit like protesting too much tbh.

aquashiv · 18/07/2012 23:50

So you are unreasonable therefore as due to all all the evidence given there is the unmistakable spark of genius about Mr Georourgious Papaualodopolosusus.

klaritaf · 18/07/2012 23:52

so rude.
his name is Giorgos Panayiotis, it is not that difficult.

cocolepew · 18/07/2012 23:54

Oh gathering, you're only setting yourself up for disappointment Sad Im lucky if I remember to put my shoes on before going out.

I love my autocorrect it keeps changing going to hoing.

Hello cyb, are you practicing in front of the mirror with your hairbrush?

cocolepew · 18/07/2012 23:54

Lordy I've gone off on a tangent!

klaritaf · 18/07/2012 23:55

and anyone can get to meet him, just follow the trail of spliff ends and kebab wrappers across Hampstead Heath on a saturday night..Grin

Chubfuddler · 19/07/2012 05:53

He was claiming to be 48 on Chris Evans the other day, surely he's older than that?

TheNightWatch · 19/07/2012 06:47

Why would he be? He was 18 when he started Wham or even younger. 48 is about right.

Longdistance · 19/07/2012 07:09

I'm going to see him live on Perth in November, or is it December.

Anyway, he's very talented, and is amazing as a live performer. If people judged me on what I did outside my job, I'd be very annoyed.

Although, I haven't been caught in toilets cottaging, or drug driving.

SugarBatty · 19/07/2012 07:13

I think he's amazing...

He seems like a nice guy. But my god, the music! Not good, not good...

NurseBernard · 19/07/2012 07:20

I don't give a shiney one what he gets up to in loos - his music is the biz!!

Bizarre OP - some of my best friends are gay, etc, etc... Hmm

arthurfowlersallotment · 19/07/2012 07:26

'I have nothing against gay people'

Gay people all breathe a collective sigh of relief.

IsabelleRinging · 19/07/2012 07:36

Vulnerability, that's what people see in George.

corlan · 19/07/2012 08:30

How can you not love George Michael?

fuzzypicklehead · 19/07/2012 08:56

Driving under the influence is not cool. I would think twice before hiring him as a chauffeur. I really couldn't give a monkeys what consenting adults get up to in toilets. But I sure do enjoy some of his songs.

LynetteScavo · 19/07/2012 17:22

GM in for a webchat!!!!......Can you imagine? I would have to throw a sickie form work. It would just be toooo exciting. Shock Smile Envy Thanks Blush Wink Grin.

Mumsnet you have to.

The Fonz has acknowledged me on here....I could die happy if George Micheal did too.

klaritaf · 19/07/2012 17:46

Nancy66 · 19/07/2012 17:49

I love George.
Not widely known but he gives about 90 per cent of his earnings to charity.
He's a good egg.

corlan · 19/07/2012 17:52

I loved that sketch he did with James Cordon as Smithy for Comic Relief.

'I can't walk into Comic Relief with you George. Comic relief is for people like you'
