To not really care whether anyone is a SAHM, WOHM, BF or FF or really any of these 'pitting women against each other' things?

Also I don't really care if anyone thinks I'm unreasonable about it either :)

Just all a load of sticks to bash each other with innit.

Stongly believe that you only care if you are insecure about your own choices.

cheesesarnie · 18/07/2012 13:48

you care enough to start a thread stating that you don't care though?

Although I do agree, it's a non issue

Midgetm · 18/07/2012 13:48

You are being very very reasonable.

Mrsjay · 18/07/2012 13:48

I dont care either I dont think stay home mums are lazy or working mothers are selfish or if they feed their babies breastmilk or formula it is all Blah tbh

RackandRuin · 18/07/2012 13:51

I never knew it was an issue until I came on here. I remember when I dd was small being in a cafe with some bf mothers, some who ff, some who didn't work and some that did. We were laughing and having a good time when we should have been stabbing each other.

Yama · 18/07/2012 13:52

I didn't realise these things were issues or causes for judgement until I read about it on Mumsnet.

In real life people tend to have more empathy. Or rather the people I've met do. Or maybe they keep their opinions to themselves. Hadn't considered that actually.

ginhag · 18/07/2012 13:52

Cheesesarnie, I do care...I care about the pointless arguing over other people's life choices. I care about people making each other feel shit for having done whatever they feel they have to/was best for them.

God I think I'm a hippy.

Totally agree and am amazed people care so much about others choices.

Can I add, abortion, religion, customs, controlled crying, what thecfuck you feed your toddler and weaning, nap and bed times, naughty step, and nursery verses child minder..

cheesesarnie · 18/07/2012 13:58

maybe this is where me having my head in the clouds helps!

firawla · 18/07/2012 14:09

yanbu

Creamtea1 · 18/07/2012 14:14

Yanbu
The list is endless as thebody said, but easiest to be comfortable in your own choices and give a fuckington about everyone elses

Creamtea1 · 18/07/2012 14:15

*NOT give a fuckington I meant

naturalbaby · 18/07/2012 14:18

I've not really come across it in real life either, and I've had 3 babies so had plenty of opportunity!

There's not enough info on forums like this to judge, apart from sweeping/naive statements that occasionally make an appearance.

and I totally agree about the insecurities thing.

thebody · 18/07/2012 14:22

Love the phrase fuckington.. Will now use this in RL.

HoneyDragonWearingLederhosen · 18/07/2012 14:25

UABU condemning others for their parenting choices is what allows me to maintain my awesome smuggeryness and huge superiority complex.

Midgetm · 20/07/2012 10:42

Good point HoneyDragon Mumsnet would have no traffic at all if we couldn't all condemn others. Heaven forbid.
