To be a bit miffed that no one just came out and told me?

I know I know I am probably BU Wink

I put a post up on the board I thought was for my local area to say now I have some time on my hands if anyone needs ironing etc/ dog walking I would love to help and have just been told by the mumsnet team I can't post that.

Now I am absolutely fine with that and was impressed they took the time to tell me how and where I am allowed to post (thanks mumsnet Thanks ).

I am a bit miffed however that 'several mumsnetters have complained'! I get the complaint - if they can't do it why can I but what I don't get is why no one could just reply 'Hi Bambie, are you aware you can't post for services here? Just letting you know'

I'm not that unapproachable am I?! Grin

I reckon thats what mumsnet say when they don't want you to be cross with them. I don't believe anyone said a word.

Oh, I don't know. Seeing a username with 'Bambie' in it makes me think, 'Ooh, scary person, bound to bite my head off.'

I'm glad it's not just me, I thought this might be my time for a flaming. I was just so surprised no one just came out and told me, us mumsnetters aren't usually backwards in coming forwards!

Normally I would just have a Wine but at 33 weeks I decided to settle for a whine instead Grin annnnd relaaax

But then you would have had the option of ignoring them and mean while someone vulnerable could have given you their address.

There will be plenty of local charities, Homestart, Help the aged, Mind, Mencap etc, that include services for the care of pets, that you can volunteer at and be checked out.

It is to risky to allow this on any board.

Birdsgottafly · 17/07/2012 15:11

Btw, if i had seen it, i would have PM'd you, but would have reported it as a safeguarding concern, if people need help and our struggling they are to easily taken advantage of.

Birdsgottafly · 17/07/2012 15:12

So you are about to give birth, but want to dog walk?

Crazy woman, i'm glad you've been stopped Grin

Mellower · 17/07/2012 15:16

"several mumsnetters have complained" at you offering to help out! Only on Mumsnet!

Bambie if you're bored and like dogs can I point you in the direction of The Cinnamon Trust and PAPAS

Both do wonderfil work in enabling the sick and elderly to keep their pets.

I dog walked when I was PG. Only my own dogs mind you, but if you're up for it, then great. It's an excellent way to keep fit and de stress.

BambieO · 17/07/2012 15:45

I know birdsgottafly it's madness, but I am determined to get some exercise and I love dogs. Hopefully not a dog that would rather walk me than the other way around like my aunts dog!

Surely though a heads up and if I still didn't respond/delete then a complaint would be fairer? (Although it's my own fault for not thinking and checking the rules Blush )

Thanks d0oin I will check them out I'm sure there will be something in my area
