thebody · 18/07/2012 15:24

It will end in wine Jimbo. Definatly!

CockyPants · 18/07/2012 15:29

Well this IS Naice.

PenisVanLesbian · 18/07/2012 15:29

If you bash my car in the car park you'll be paying for the damage, I wouldn't give a flying fuck if you're trying to get a car seat, a toddler and/or a whole herd of goats in your car.

minesapintofwine · 18/07/2012 17:50

op Im so angry at you. Are you the inconsiderate cow I saw in tesco the other day using all the fecking room possible to get your precious shopping in the car whilst i tried to squeeze my baby dts out thru a small gap either side of my car? If so I hope you enjoyed the evil look I gave you. Angry. And no being inconsiderate of the difficulties others can face is not living life on the edge. Rage emotion.

Scheherezade · 18/07/2012 18:15

Ffs, its not about being close to the store. Those who are saying its fine must clearly have eyesight problems, otherwise they would have noticed the great big gaps either side of P&C spaces, to allow parents to open the doors wide enough to allow them to get carseats in abd out without scratching the car next to them.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 18/07/2012 18:16

Pr you ate blind and can't see the other side of the car park that is empty but means you have to walk for 60 seconds Scheherezade

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 18/07/2012 18:17

Or you are ^ god I should stop typing when I have a headache!

Scheherezade · 18/07/2012 18:17

If I had more courage, I'd just key your car. Because I like to live life on the edge too. (After all, you don't care about cars getting scratched).

kinkyfuckery · 18/07/2012 18:19

For a real thrill, try stealing someone's trolley as they're packing their kids back into the car. If you're really lucky, you'll make a quid out of it.

Scheherezade · 18/07/2012 18:20

Er...not if the car park is full...otherwise yes, we do park anywhere there is a double space.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 18/07/2012 18:22

I have never ever seen a full supermarket car park. Maybe they are bigger here than where you live.

PenisVanLesbian · 18/07/2012 18:46

You'd key my car? Hope you can afford it, between the damage cost and the large fine for criminal damage.
Find a supermarket with a larger carpark. Or shop online and save up for the anger management course you seem to need.

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 18/07/2012 18:56

Are some people seriously saying they can't get a baby out of a car in a normal space without scratching the adjacent car?

Seriously come on!!! Confused

tallslutnopanties · 18/07/2012 20:26

I blame car manufacturers. Why do they have to make cars so wide? If they took 3inches off on either side then we would a have 6 extra inches to extract our children.
Inconsiderate bastards.

cloutiedumpling · 18/07/2012 20:54

Pickles - yes, if not much space is left between cars it can be very difficult, if not impossible, to open a door wide enough to get a car seat in.

Many car parks do not have lots of empty spaces. Our local supermarket has the car park on the roof and doesn't tend to have many empty spaces in it as it is not particularly large.

It is very sad that people who don't need them use the P&C spaces. There are some people like me who really appreciate them. They weren't available when I had DS1 and I remember that it could be really tricky at times to fit the car seat into the car. Yes, people coped before we had P&C spaces but they do make life a lot easier at times. Maybe they should be placed at the back of the supermarket carpark with a pavement leading to the store.

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 18/07/2012 21:01

Well sorry I have to refute that I have a baby and seriously I don't have a problem doing it.

And I'm a pretty shit driver I don't mind admitting!

CockyPants · 19/07/2012 21:16

I love pt spaces and thank the provider every time I use them! Cars are a lot bigger than they used to be, but parking spaces have not changed size accordingly. Just makes life so much easier. They don't necessarily have to be right next to the shop, just have pedestrian crossings or pathways so we can walk to and from car. For those posters who dont like them, simple don't use them, and let those mums LIKE ME who are precious/insane/incompetent/lousy use them instead!

PicklesThePottyMouthedParrot · 19/07/2012 21:19

Ill use one if they are free.

I just won't lose my marbles/scratch other cars/ drop the c bomb over it.

CockyPants · 19/07/2012 21:22

Well I won't either.
But I might scream loud and long....especially when peeps who see, to have left kids at home park in them...

CockyPants · 19/07/2012 21:22

Seem to have
Doh

Kellamity · 19/07/2012 21:23

"If you bash my car in the car park you'll be paying for the damage"

Only if you see them do it, unlike the charmer in a blue car that took a chunk out of my passenger door today, cheers for that Hmm (no idea if DCs were involved btw just feeling a little peeved)

CockyPants · 19/07/2012 21:25

Sick of people scraping my car and driving off.
Not pt space related...

yousankmybattleship · 19/07/2012 21:28

OP if your life is so boring then this counts as entertainment, then go for it.

For your information though when my twins were tiny I used to go home again if there were no baby and child spaces free. Usually with the normal spaces I'd have to load one baby into the buggy then leave that baby in the buggy at the back of the car while I got the other baby out. Not a risk I was prepared to take. If was was using a trolley I'd have to leave my babies in the car while I looked for the one or two trolleys that would take two babies so I'd need the car close to the trolleys so I could keep an eye on them. I didn't feel I was entitled to these spaces, but I was bloody grateful for them. I'd never dream of using them now my children are older.

PenisVanLesbian · 19/07/2012 21:28

Maybe your car is too big then.

CockyPants · 19/07/2012 21:31

Kia ceed. Same size as a golf.
