Really! Who cares? And yet it is mentioned over and over again on Radio 4, not to mention whole programmes about it.

I hate it when the BBC gets so up its own arse. Just give us stuff we want to listen to, and cut out all the navel gazing shit.

It's just a sodding building in London!

I think Bush House is very famous overseas as its been the home of the world service for so long. I've seen tourists having their picture taken outside it - it's obviously a very big and famous landmark for them. But here in the UK, not so much.

Well, you should care. It has cost millions of our license fee to move to Salford. Many many people have left the BBC because of it, and 'celebrities' are refusing to go to Salford for programme interviews etc. And it has cost thousands and thousands to pay for train/plane fares for those that do.

It is a complete shambles, and they were warned but went ahead with it anyway. Apparently it is no longer politically correct to have the BBC in London.

This is YOUR license fee money they are spending!

I know that OGWT - a friend who works for the BBC has ranted much about it.

However, it's all this self-serving nostalgic bullshit that is really riling me.

Bush House is a beautiful building and considering The World Service have been broadcasting from there for 70 years and today was the last ever broadcast I think that it would be odd if the BBC didn't mention it! Also it's history and the stories that have been broadcast from there, often to countries who have no freedom of speech themselves, should be shared and celebrated.
