to wonder why Victoria's Secret models need to be airbrushed?

Really! Why? They spend all this money on getting the most beautiful models they can find, use some of the best photographers and makeup/body makeup artists in the world and then still airbrush all their photographs. Surely these girls are just fine the way they are (ie. stunningly beautiful) or is having near perfect looks no longer considered enough to make us buy a product?

models still have cellulite, broken veins, bruises etc.

Because everyone even models are 'flawed' in magazine terms. A bit of celulite, a mole somewhere, birthmark, body not a taught as the unachievable images magazines want to portray. It's all about promoting 'perfection' and nobody, not even those girls, is perfect.

Because just about everybody in the world needs to be airbrushed in order to get that "perfect" magazine look.

Quite comforting when you think about it.
