Looking at their profile... they are no celebrity! Do ordinary people do this?!

Private physios, vets, agricultural contractors (For scanning sheep prior to lambing etc)

It's not the sorta thing that one would buy for home use I would assume

That machine is a beauty! But no, I wouldn't. I would be constantly watching bump (if I were pregnant obviously) and I am not sure it is a good idea for an unskilled hand - cause more worry if you can't find a heartbeat (as you don't know where to look).
I made the mistake of buying wasting good money on one of those listening machines and I never got it to work.

I'd be looking to see what the inside of my sofa looks like, tv's, DD's toys.....

I have one...but it cost £149, is a mini handheld one and is for sports injuries. They are brilliant for treating sports injuries, if you used it 5 times a week for an injury, you would soon recoup your purchase price over physio treatment.
