One to one tuition from a primary school teacher over the summer holidays

How much would you pay per hour?

But if any teacher at my DS's school had a high proportion of children who had fallen behind, they'd be sent off to retrain.

Even if the reason was outside their control e.g.high proportion with english not first language...my point some schools wouldnt be able to do this,.very often it is the middling kids who fall behind as attention spent with bottom and top kids. It is great if a school can provide extra private tuition but i think it is unrealistic to assume all schools could do this.

letseatgrandma · 10/07/2012 21:55

If you were a qualified and experienced primary school teacher-£20-£35 an hour. If you weren't both of these things, I wouldn't bother.

WorraLiberty · 10/07/2012 22:00

My DS's school has a huge number of kids with EAL

It's down to the school to provide teachers/TAs to tutor them for free....and they do.

You are very fortunate

Serendipity30 · 10/07/2012 22:24

I pay £20, it is worth the money, my DD is so much more confident being prone to be a worrywort at school before .

cheekypickle · 11/07/2012 06:56

Why am I fortunate?
