Hi

I am 15 weeks pregnant. I suffered from extreme vomiting on Saturday. I felt better on Sunday, so thought it was food poisoning. Then, yesterday afternoon I started vomiting again. I haven't kept any fluids down since 2pm yesterday. I phoned NHS Direct this morning who told me to see my doctor within 2 hours, and to phone 999 if I felt faint again (I have passed out 3 times). I spoke to my GP who aksed me to go into the surgery. I went in - my blood pressure was really low etc. He sent me to the hospital for admission - saying I needed to go on a drip and probably be catheterised. I arrived at the hospital at 1pm and have been sitting in a room ever since. No doctor - no drip - nothing. I have been sick since I got here. Perhaps I ought to go out to reception and vomit on them, to get their attention?! Am I being unreasonably impatient? It is now 24 hours since I went for a wee!!

start rattling some cages. is anyone there with you? you definately need to be looked in on at the very least and reassured where you stand. I'd go and ask if I were you.

what sort of "room" are you in?
You are not in a waiting room by mistake are you?
Or a nurse put you in there, and has now gone to lunch or something.
Go to reception and announce your arrival.Perhaps someone has forgotten you,or they are very busy with another emergency.

YANBU, I'd go and ask too. If they fob you off again then drink some water. You might keep it down but if you're sick again then hopefully a doctor will see you then. Hope it's nothing serious and you get seen soon.

All the rooms are private. I went back to reception and fainted on the way, so think I'll get pushed up the list!

2 hours isn't much of a wait in a hospital is it?

No - probably not. It felt it though!
