I only realised after reading Ailidh's story on MN that all you had to do to get on the bone marrow register was spit in a tube. And you don't have to go anywhere, they just send it through the post.

Fit to spit is for males aged 18 - 30.

That's right - they particularly need more men in that age group:

"We particularly need more men aged 18-30 to join the register as they are more likely to chosen to donate. Help us save more lives by downloading our editable posters and putting them up anywhere you think men aged 18-30 will see them"

But if you're between 18 and 40 and not excluded on medical grounds, you can join the register, male or female.
