I will, but I'd rather stay home and clean the toilet!!

I've already spent all morning there watching DS2 in the yr 3/4 event and this afternoon it's DS2 in the yr 5/6 one. It was all relays/team games. DS2 did OK, but his team never had a chance and came last in almost every event because they had the overweight boy who can barely walk let alone run in their team. I felt so sad both for the boy who was clearly hating it and for the rest of the team who never had a chance.

I was very impressed with the way they all kept trying and the way they tried to encourage this lad though - they were truly kind and encouraging, never nasty about his lack of ability.

Anyway I was cold and bored, with backache from standing all morning and now I've got to go and do it all again.

I feel the same about sports days. My heart goes out to the child who can't run. And a hate the pushy parent that thinks their child is not do enough to win. Hope it wasn't to bad this afternoon. Unfortunately if your there fore one and not the other you know the "mummy guilt" will get you.

Agree they are very boring, fortunately most of them were whilst I was working.

Oh no 2rebecca, I wasn't that lucky, it fell on my day off!
