probably because they were so cute that people kept breeding them, and children wanted them.... a digital puppy is a lot easier to look after too..

I prefer the digital pups i am sick of seeing real animals used in ads etc for our enjoyment...

They are odd, but much better than using puppies.

I agree OP, real puppies are much cuter. I am glad they are using digital ones though, they wouldn't have been able to get a real puppy do all that stuff without much stress for the puppy.

I'd imagine it's quite difficult to get a Labrador puppy to independent brush it's teeth though

I couldn't agree more - the digital ones are creepy.

I don't like them but mainly because they do 'human' things but they do look weird. I understand why they don't want to use real puppies but surely they could have them doing puppy things like the real ones did.

As an aside my 15yo DD was horrified to see that Bananas in Pyjamas are now CGI. Her exact words were 'I feel sorry for the younger generation
