Okay so a little bit of background,

I've recently been diagnosed with bi polar. Whilst I was in hospital (for 6 weeks) DD who is 10 months old was sent to childminders full time.

I'm now out of hospital and doing well. I start back at work in september full time teaching.

I'm spending some more time with DD in a couple of weeks as childminder is on holiday. currently DD goes from 9-5 every day

some days though I just sit here bored wishing I could see her a bit more, but cant really mess childminder around. I'm kind of stuck in limbo, I'm doing a few afternoons at work but they said it has to be gradual as not to push me too quickly.

Hello fellow bi-Polaroid! ;)

To start, well done you for getting yourself together and getting back to work.

All I can say is that she's your child so obviously you're not being unreasonable for wanting to see her more... So why don't you? I don't really understand why you aren't if you're just sitting around, and if you feel well enough. The childminder will just have to deal with it, set her some new terms maybe.

Goodness keep her home if you want her home with you. As long as you're sticking to your contract and paying your CM for contracted hours then do it. See it as taking her on holiday. Talk to CM and see if she has any ideas. It's a good opportunity - take it, but make sure you rest too.

Just pay your CM and have your child at home! Do you really think your CM will complain about that? Go and pick her up right now!

why dont you have her in a day or 2 and then the rest at home arrange it with the CM im sure she will be ok with it, Its fine just do it,
