Yup I yhink you're right.

I haven't read 50 shades yet but the plot sounds v similar to the one black lace book I read. Am beginning to assume they are all pretty much the same.

I like the blacklace short stories.

Useful if you are needing to be put in the mood. I have only read the beginning of Shades book 3, but no more as it was a too tedious (thought I could get a jist of all the books and read the conclusion in one go - but no, not my cup of tea, I don't read romances).

the BL books were much better than fifty shades.

Bared to You by Sylvia Day and Sweet Addiction by Maya Banks are 2 more books that are coming out. But they all seem to be about male doms/female subs.

Lace by Shirley Conran is also being re released to mark its 30th birthday.
Ive not read the Shirley Conran book but i do remember watching the TV miniseries when i was about eleven.
I think the miniseries was dumbed down slightly because having read just a small paragraph from Lace, that seems to have a dominant female in it and that was written thirty years ago.

i hope when Black Lace is revived they have a bit of everything in them like they did originally and not just women submitting to men.

I did read Savages which was another Conran book but that was over 20 years ago when a friend at college lent it to me.
