either a new neighbour or someone has lost a job but the last few weeks whenever i go in the garden to grab ten minutes of quiet time & read the paper all i get is this bloody awful music. it is very quiete where i live, standard/ordinary victorian terraces, small gardens, alot of old people too. if i wanted to listen to music in the gdn in the day, and sometimes i would like to, i don't as i know it would mean all the surrounding homes having to listen to it too. i wouldn't mind so much if it was just sometimes but it seems to be every day, driving me nuts. part of me thinks i am getting old and boring but no, when i was younger i never like that kind of music, feel i need to be on speed/wizz to get into it. i feel more sorry for the poor sods who live at the end of our garden. they are retired, nice couple who spend alot of time in their garden. it would be worse for them, i bet it is driving them nuts as they live next door whereby i am a few doors away. just a rant really. i should go out and put some Slayer on and crank it right up.. :-D (only jesting)

somone finished their gcse's / Alevels/degree perhaps? If it is a serious pain then pop a note through their door making them aware that you can hear it several doors away and lots of people are therefore probably being disturbed by it. you could also pop in a leaflet for headphones Smile if it is beyond that then your local councils environmental health department will take it up as a complaint. love Hecates suggestion - prog rock would do it for me

I think my old neighbours have moved into your area OP?

Total dossers and dwads who made my life hell for about a year, they didn't even play it too late at night but just boomed it out and MC-ed out of the window on nice sunny days when I was sitting in the garden. This coupled with lots of other annoying things they did, made it a difficult bloody year.

Looks like you've got them now, lucky you!

Spice17 · 26/06/2012 18:45

PS Try the Council maybe? They will take you kind of seriously, don't put up with it - it can make you very bitter!

bitofcheese · 26/06/2012 19:00

nah, tbh i don't get much of a chance to sit in the garden anyway, i don't want to snitch on them. i guess someone else probably will though, bloody racket. at first when i read your post i thought you were going to suggest i put on some loud 'Style Countil'...i never like them, i used to HATE 'Swing Out Sister', perhaps i could find one of those and put THAT on, that would shut em' up :D

The Beautiful South. Then they'll have to move.
