I think doing it whilest a small baby is in a cot is very diffrent to doing it while child of any age is in the bed next to you, also i just dont under stand how any one could get aroused when you basically eye ball to eye ball with your child

I sure in cultures were people live in one room or huts this happens but not in the wester world were we dont have 6 family memebers to a room not when you have the CHOICE TO NOT HAVE SEX WITH A CHILD SLEEPING IN YOUR BED NEXT TO YOU WHY WOULD YOU DO IT.

Those who shag with baby in bed, aren't you worried you'll bounce on him/her or forget about her in the heat of the moment and baby gets hurt? I couldn't do it!

And I hate people saying first world problem because yes, we are a first world country. Therefore, most people have multiple rooms and don't need to have sex while the baby is there!

It's not really the same to ask whether people would have sex with an adult family member in the room. Like Eclectic says - they're adults, not children, so would be aware of what was going on, which is where the line should be drawn IMHO. A sleeping child who is not capable of understanding what sex is anyway is not going to be harmed by something that they are not even aware of!

And to those who are asking 'wouldn't you be concerned about bouncing on top of baby?' - most couples these days have at least a double bed, and WTF kind of sex are you having?! I don't know about you, but when I'm in the moment with DH I don't suddenly get the urge to start doing Tigger impressions all over the place

If there really is no choice, then obviously fine but in this day and age, I'd hazaard a guess that the majority of baby-in-the-bed shagging parents do have other choices. It's not about sex being 'dirty', it is private though.
