I know I am really. He's been away working for the past 4 weeks, so I've been here doing all the boring, crappy house/kids/garden/pets stuff. He now has a few days off and has been to an all-night party, organised by some of his colleagues (media). I know I shouldn't care, but I'm just fed up and I would love to go to an all-night party, have a lie-in the next morning and then wander around doing bugger all. Just wanted to rant really. Am being totally unreasonable I'm sure.

Have name changed btw as friends may recognise my situation (and my moaning!)

can you not do just as youve described now that he's home?

feduphere · 24/06/2012 19:02

Sorry, didn't make it very clear. He's still away, and won't be back for another week. I don't really know many people who have parties like that any more anyway cheesesarnie

Blush i went to one at christmas but sssh

when hes back do you get a chance to have a night off and a lie in etc?

i'd be pissed off too.

squeakytoy · 24/06/2012 19:21

well as he was away anyway, there is no point in being pissed off with him..

lovebunny · 24/06/2012 19:24

i would think he's up to no good. but i don't have a trusting nature.

grobagsforever · 24/06/2012 19:25

Helpful lovebunny Sad

McHappyPants2012 · 24/06/2012 19:26

If he is away why would you be hacked off.

Now if he came home after working away then went out I could understand

cheesesarnie · 24/06/2012 19:27

but why lovebunny?

i left my party at 5am, i had no idea of the time as i was dancing and chatty. the only reason i realised the time is because dh called, he was worried , i felt awful that i had worried him but the party was completly innocent.

if i can do it, why can't op's dh? or do you know him personally?

TidyDancer · 24/06/2012 19:28

Of course YABU, but it's understandable to an extent because you've been coping alone.

Will he pull his weight when he gets back?

Trills · 24/06/2012 19:30

YABU to be pissed off - he is away, he will be equally away if he is having a whale of a time or if he is sitting around moping and wishing he was at home with you.

AThingInYourLife · 24/06/2012 19:35

YABU - what difference does it make?

Envy of cheesesarnie

bogeyface · 24/06/2012 19:38

I suppose techincally YABU but I totally understand why.

It isnt that he has gone to a party, its that you cant. It isnt the lie in, its the fact that you cant have one......

cheesesarnie · 24/06/2012 19:38

it was a one off! i was distracted by the bongos!
i am lucky enough to have a half decent social life (when we can afford it) but saying that-im easily pleased, a night out is a night out Grin
