AIBU to bath them together?

I bath 4YO DD and 1YO DS together every second night. MIL has recently cone to stay and told me I shouldn't be doing it, especially now DD is going to be starting school.

I thought this wasn't an unusual thing to do and I'm not precisely sure what her issue with it is but I'm now slightly worried IABU.

Your MIL is BNU. I bathed my DS and DD together until they were around 8 and 6

How strange... I will have no problems bathing my children together (4 year age gap) until one of them objects. Aged 8 or 9 maybe?

My only caveat is that if either is filthy - really muddy or pooey (one is a baby) then they have separate baths cos it seems unfair on the other one (especially if it's the latter reason!!).

Erm my nine yr old dd and my three yr old dd still share a bath, they love it!

I still bath DD1 (7), DD2 (5) and DS (3) together. They love it and on the occasions when they have not been bathed together they have asked if can go in together the next time so no YANBU

I throw all 3 of mine in the bath together ... DD 6 DS 3 and DS 3 ..... we play lots of games and all have bubble blowing compertitions ;)

DD usally likes a shower now to wash her hair in through after ;)

No, but I was horrified at six that my friend's mum bathed her and her younger brother together.

It wasn't so much that he was a boy but more than the mum didn't think they were worth the separate bathwater.

I was a demanding child. It's served me well into adulthood Grin

Mine are 9 and 5 (girls) and will continue to share baths until one of them asks to go seperately. Can't see it happening any time soon.
