I have an unreasonable hatred for him and Mylene smarmy Class, dunno why, tis unreasonable, but he is on telly just now and he is frankly getting on my chebs.

Twonk or not?

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2012 10:32

He is a twonk, but he is quite endearing. And I have his design wallpaper in the living room and it's vair nice. There are worse slebs. Grin

KateSpade · 24/06/2012 10:35

Oh god yes!

YANBU!

germyrabbit · 24/06/2012 10:35

nah he's entertaining, that programme was utterly pants though, and boring house to start with

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2012 10:36

I don't think he takes himself that seriously TBH.

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere · 24/06/2012 10:37

Twonk of the highest order.

SleepyFergus · 24/06/2012 10:39

Twonk perhaps, but probably vair comfortably off following his earlier TV success and spin off lines! Laughing all the way to the bank!

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2012 10:40

Twonks annoying me at the moment-

Eammon Holmes
Dr Jessen from Embarassing Bodies
All the Loose Women

emmanana · 24/06/2012 10:45

He is a tit. When he lived in south London, his garden boundary was shared with a friend of mine. There was a dispute and my friend was completely legally in the right. As a last ditch attempt he used the 'I have contacts in TV , watchdog etc card' my friend told him to go ahead - he was QC, and had LOTS of QC friends.
Bowen moved soon after.

TheSkiingGardener · 24/06/2012 10:48

Bowen's highly qualified though isn't he? And a respected authority despite the silly clothes and hair?

Sandalwood · 24/06/2012 10:55

Lawrence Lewelyn Bowen for example....

Me and DH were crying laughing at him on the Chelsea Flower show (last years, 2011) on the TV.

  • as he walked into each area of a garden he (oh so smoothly) took his shades off. He'd walk into another area, glasses magically back on again and smoothly take them off, sit on a bench - take shades off. On and on. It was only a matter of minutes but those shades keep coming off was so funny!
Nanny0gg · 24/06/2012 11:12

I like him.
And he is very knowledgable. His Design Rules series and book were fascinating because they really explained why some ideas work and others don't.

I find him quite amusing too.

Myleene Klass however...

valiumredhead · 24/06/2012 14:18

He doesn't take himself seriously and that is why I really fancy him

FunnyLittleFrog · 24/06/2012 14:20

I decided I liked him after he was in The League of Gentlemen pretending he wore a wig.

PuppyMonkey · 24/06/2012 14:22

I saw him on telly the other week with a beard. I really like his beard.

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2012 14:23

I wonder what LLB would be like in bed?

TalcAndTurnips · 24/06/2012 14:30

Sparkling - I would suspect he's much the same, but lying down.

If he ever goes down the alopecia line, can you imagine the hoovering in his house. The carpets would be fair matted with his luxuriant glossy locks.

GrahamTribe · 24/06/2012 14:36

He's the friend of a friend and apparently a very nice, amiable guy. So, YABU. :)

DilysPrice · 24/06/2012 14:37

He's a tit, but I liked it when he was on Changing Rooms and they needed a (for ex) cushion cover in the style of Clarice Cliffe and he'd get out his pens and knock out a lovely little design in no time flat. I can forgive quite a lot of a man with a demonstrable practical skill.

Sparklingbrook · 24/06/2012 14:38

I wonder if he would like to come round and look at my interior? Grin

PuppyMonkey · 24/06/2012 14:40

I saw him and his kids in Liberty's about ten years ago.

fedupofnamechanging · 24/06/2012 14:40

I quite like him, but he seems very high maintenance - couldn't be married to someone who requires so much upkeep. Then again, he probably wouldn't want to be married to me either!

Feel sorry for Myleene Klass at the moment.

PorkyandBess · 24/06/2012 14:40

I think he is a likeable tit.

fedupofnamechanging · 24/06/2012 14:41

Actually, you'd always have a nice house if married to LLB. I'm starting to see the appeal...

PorkyandBess · 24/06/2012 14:41

Mylene klass otoh, could never be likeable, no matter what she does.

TalcAndTurnips · 24/06/2012 14:44

Sparkling - do you have any damp in the basement? I'm sure Lawrence would be happy to take a look at it for you.
