Who called you a knob? Where do you wear your pendant?
I say zero, and I spell words using the phonetic alphabet if I'm feeling really kinky

MrsTerryPratchett · 22/06/2012 21:46

I mess with people and say zero one seven oh zero and so on. Grin

BalloonTwister · 22/06/2012 21:46

Nor does anyone who has any remote connection to the forces Chaos. Imo anyone who uses oh is the nob, as it is, in fact, a letter. :)

ChaosTrlyReigns · 22/06/2012 21:50

ObOb, it was a friffing 13 year old. Shock

MrsTP - I love that idea Perverse Pendanticism.

I say zero, but only because I have an accent which is particularly apparent when saying "oh"

Meglet · 22/06/2012 21:52

I always try and use 'zero'.

GetOrfMoiiLand · 22/06/2012 21:52

That is EXACTLY the kind of thing my dd would call me a nob for saying.

That and words like ghastly, pedantic and tiresome.

JumpingThroughHoops · 22/06/2012 21:53

zero is number, oh is a letter.

BlackOutTheSun · 22/06/2012 21:55

Zero is the number, 'O' is a letter

tyler80 · 22/06/2012 21:56

Whilst I would always say zero if i was giving out something such as a credit card number I've realised that I'd always use 'O' for the start of a phone number, even if I'd use zero for subsequent zeros! So not pedantic, just perverse!

Psammead · 22/06/2012 21:57

GetOrf - what about glorious? Seriously underused wnaky word Grin

I say oh, or nul if I forget who I am speaking to.

tyler80 · 22/06/2012 22:01

Beveryley Nine Zero Two One Zero doesn't have quite the same ring to it, nor does Room One Zero One

Whatmeworry · 22/06/2012 22:01

Tell them Zero is the number, Oscar is the letter

ObviouslyOblivious · 22/06/2012 22:03

Oh Tyler. Things will never change if you're so defeatist. Change it from within. Start saying Room One Zero One. Be a trailblazer.

qo · 22/06/2012 22:03

Snigger @ Tyler Grin

Spatsky · 22/06/2012 22:04

I always use zero except when the first number is a zero , then I say oh for some reason (no idea why)

ChaosTrlyReigns · 22/06/2012 22:05

Who started this travesty?

Hmm

My money's on James Blahdy Bond.

AnnoyingOrange · 22/06/2012 22:06

I always start the number with oh one and use zero in the middle

All London numbers used to start oh one

FunnysInLaJardin · 22/06/2012 22:07

I say zero because when I say 0 folk think I am saying 8, which I am not.

Spatsky · 22/06/2012 22:07

Tyler, only just seen that you said the same. At least I'm not the only one anyway.

AnnoyingOrange · 22/06/2012 22:08

Lol at Zero Zero Seven

MousyMouse · 22/06/2012 22:08

I usually start with zero and say oh when repeating the numbers, just to make sure.

storminabuttercup · 22/06/2012 22:10

Spatsky - I do exactly the same. Grin
