....and not just to whoever manages to get the form/money in first.
My son is doing GCSE History (his favourite & best subject, wants to teach it as a career) and has missed out YET AGAIN on a school trip because our form was one of the last to be opened. (And that must be the case, because we sent it in immediately).
He's never managed to go on a single trip (missed out on France, Belgium & the Lake District) and now he can't go to Germany for a week which he would have completely loved.
I don't blame the teachers at all, they don't make the policy and they are very, very apologetic but....grrrr. So annoyed.
I know, I know what you'll all say - lack of staff, some getting is better than nobody going, but it's clearly important academically rather than just a fun jolly so it seems deeply unfair that anyone has to miss out.
So, AIBU to be cross?
