To think you will be so jealous of how I am spending my 2 weeks annual leave

Moving furniture so the wardbrobe fitters can get in.

Clearing up loads of dust from decorators/workmen.

Waiting in for the carpet fitters.

Waiting in for the furniture coming back from the furniture restorers.

(Back story, we had 2 massive floods one in Jan, one in March. Our apartment was inhabitable. We have been living in rented apartment and hope to move back into our apartment next week).

Is it too early for a bottle of wine??????

You go for it, well deserved, hope you're settled back in soon!

Oh wow. You're going to need wine, definitely! It will all be worth it I'm sure when you can move back in.

Good luck.

Look on the bright side, at least you won't have to spend three hours in Heathrow airport.

BarredfromhavingStella · 21/06/2012 10:17

Oh dear, take said bottle, open & stick a straw in it Grin

Just coming to the end of my 2 weeks leave, which has been spent packing to move, looking after my toddler, throwing up due to pregnancy & trying to manoeuvre round the boxes as the house still isn't quite ready to move in to...anyone jealous of me?

Downandoutnumbered · 21/06/2012 10:31

YANBU. We've just moved, all our books are still in boxes, one room is drying out after a flood so can't be used for anything for weeks till the dehumidifier has done its stuff, the carpenters are here creating noise and dust (and bookcases, to be fair) and I can't take any time off because the next two weeks are horrendous at work.
