Dd2 wet herself at nursery for the first time today. She came out with a note saying she'd changed herself. But when she sat down to put her shoes on, she said her socks were wet, so I took them off. Her legs were a bit wet too. Aibu to think they could have helped her take her socks off and given her a wipe to clean her legs?

I wouldn't complain about it unless it happened again.

I would actually say something about it. Why wait until it happens again? Of course they should have given her clean socks, I assume that you send a bag of spare clothes with her to change into in case of emergencies. It shouldn't take a rocket scientist to realise that if she has wet herself then her legs and socks might be wet. You don't need to be rude to tell them that you would have thought they would have done so.

She's just turned four. She was wearing a dress and socks so it should have been pretty obvious to them that her socks would be wet.

If she changed herself, why not change her own socks too?

Probably because she was embarrassed about it or wanted to go back to playing squeaky.

She wouldn't have had socks to change into, they had given her a top and trousers to change into.
