we dont mind our grown up sons having girlfriends around, however finding a tube of strawberry lube rolling around the floor, (and a punnet of fresh strawberries) is quite bad.

older brother asked him 3 times to pick it up, but he forgot. so I, his mother picked it up and have found a home for it.

I am so much better these days but do remember when I was 17 and first started to have 'relations' with my then partner that my Dad walked into the living room one day, threw some condoms on the sofa next to me and said, "I believe these are yours." To my defence though they fell out of my bag and came from a College talk on 'safe sex' but still, I was mortified and he looked mortified too.

Another time one of my male friends found a vibrating ring in my College dorm room. He was fascinated by it and wanted to give it to his cat - though it was supposed to be used as a kids/animal toy. But seriously though, that's a bit disrespectful. It's not like they'd forget they used it, unless the other is that easily forgotten. It's just polite to tidy up.
