I'm not talking about the odd tear seeping down my cheek but proper crying. I was glued to the TV, at the same time as wanting to turn it off. I cuddled my dog (because I don't have kids) and text my mum to tell her I love her before going to bed. I felt emotionally drained!

She has fire issues though doesn't she - iirc 2 of her books, Reflections and another one have a big fire/explosion?

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 18/06/2012 15:37

Yes there are 2 arent they, I read them in the wrong order but still loved them -cant remember which ones they are but again I really liked them. Am reading the Brass Ring at the moment.

Didn't realise there was a sequel. She's a proper story teller, and I get totally immersed in her books.

SPsFanjoHarboursDeadCats · 18/06/2012 15:40

I cried a little through the film. The bit with Taylor I loved then sobbed when he died. I thought he was great and hoped he wouldn't die but knew he had too.

When someone has chemo, can they really lose their hair but not their eyebrows and lashes? I remember getting pissed off with that in the film but am willing to be corrected.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 18/06/2012 15:43

No Billie didn't lose hers.
In fact she had so much hair she didn't ever go bald.
Even after two years of intense treatment.

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 18/06/2012 15:44

Sorry, I mean DD didn't.

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 18/06/2012 15:44

Valium - Before the Storm is the first one and then the Lies we Told is the second one. Have you read Breaking the Silence - fantastic!

valiumredhead · 18/06/2012 15:44

Right - I take that back then, I'll just be pissed off it was a shite film Wink

MrsVamos · 18/06/2012 15:46

Loved the book, and the ending in the book, the film ruined it for me. Sad

valiumredhead · 18/06/2012 15:46

valiumredhead · 18/06/2012 15:49

Oh yes - very good isn't it? I am a bit crap with remembering titles of books!

BettySwollocksandaCrustyRack · 18/06/2012 15:50

Me too - I have just read a good one by Anna Quindlen - if you like DC you might like her too....look her up on play.com and see what you think :)

valiumredhead · 18/06/2012 15:54
