To be really liking the Beauty and the Beast bit in OUAT?

I really like the Disney Beauty and the Beast until the beast turns human anyway. Belle was always my favourite Disney heroine - wanting adventure and reading books.

Watching Once Upon a Time and FB chatting with a friend who said it is all very anti feminist and degrading to women. Never felt offended by Beauty and the Beast even when watching as an adult. She has now gone into domestic abuse territory about the Beast.

Is she just reading too much into it?

I thought it was Rumpelstiltskin! But then I'm not paying the most attention to it, it has to be said.

Oh she just mentioned Gaston so I guess I'm completely wrong!

But now he's mentioned getting straw....so maybe it's a mash up.

As long as Robert Carlyle is in it I don't care what character he plays!

So sad for poor Rumpy!
