My parents seem to think we are!

Admittedly i've not thought beyond the invite and RSVP part (that will be the end of the invite in the style of a tear off stub) and how it will work in terms of the table plan and the rest but I think the idea is sound and DP and I like it.

That really does sound like a great idea! Do it!

McHappyPants2012 · 16/06/2012 20:30

Do it but for idiots like me highlight in capitals WEDDING INVITE otherwise I would assume its junk mail and recycle without looking

CrispyCod · 16/06/2012 20:35

Love them, you should do it.

TastesLikePanda · 16/06/2012 20:37

Do you know how you will be doing the tear-off bit - because I have a way that I read about but it sounds a bit silly!

TastesLikePanda · 16/06/2012 20:38

Ooh, btw - it sounds like a great idea - I would love to getsomething like that in the post! It would certainly stand out in the memory

shockers · 16/06/2012 20:40

I like the one that says 'The Big Gig'!

Joiningthegang · 16/06/2012 21:49

Do it!

sheeesh · 16/06/2012 22:01

Brilliant idea. I'd be delighted to receive an invitation like this.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 16/06/2012 22:11

Sounds great. Why didn't I think of it? :(:o

lovebunny · 16/06/2012 22:15

i'd love that! i have tickets going back to 1973 and think a wedding invitation would fit right in. have a rock band for the evening...

Sounds great, go for it!

I did mine in the style of an old Penguin book cover, which was nice.

Sounds like a fab idea. But make sure people know what it is. My friend sent me a birthday invite that was like a flyer, and I assumed it was junk mail and just put it on a shelf without looking at it. I picked it up weeks later and finally looked at it, and realised it was a birthday invite for the day before Blush It did look cool though Grin

rockinhippy · 16/06/2012 23:26

Its your Wedding, so your call - YADNBU - ours were done as gig flyers Grin

mumeeee · 16/06/2012 23:53

A great idea if you like it then do it, Nevermind what your parents think.

Back stage passes could be table places. Band names for table numbers.
I can see it all now! :-o

My cousin is a mad footy fan & his invites look like, well, football tickets. Really unusual & memorable.

Goolash · 17/06/2012 00:50

Nice :)

DumSpiroSpero · 17/06/2012 08:08

Brilliant idea!

For the table plan you could buy a dozen or so 7" singles and replace the labels with a coloured disc of paper printed with the names of the guests and mount them on a large board with sticky fixers- maybe a matching 7" in a holder on each of the tables?

DumSpiroSpero · 17/06/2012 08:12

mini perforating tool!

CherryBlossom27 · 17/06/2012 08:23

Yanbu! They are a cool idea and it's your wedding not theirs so go for it!
