and all pippin eats is sausages Grin

WorraLiberty · 15/06/2012 12:53

Pinnin's dead so there's only so much she can do for her really Grin

mayaswell · 15/06/2012 12:54

Is that still on? I once got a point in a quiz for knowing what the identifying letter on planes in the UK was thanks to Auntie Mabel and her spotty plane. And they say telly's a waste of time...

Magneto · 15/06/2012 12:54

That's why she works in a department store and meets Dr Who now.

spammertime · 15/06/2012 12:55

She's bloody ungrateful really, considering pippin rescued her that time she got locked in the larder when she'd got chips deep frying on the hob. Totally agree with you OP.

stillfeel18inside · 15/06/2012 13:01

That OP made me laugh so much - haven't watched this for yrs but I remember being quite traumatized at that chippan fire one - what was she thinking?? (Also, they're obviously repeating the episodes 10 yrs later as my DS1 is now 13!)

IcantSleep · 15/06/2012 13:01

Very true spammertime Grin

Haha I nearly started this thread yesterday! Someone call the RSPCA!

IcantSleep · 15/06/2012 13:03

Wow i didn't realise it was that old!

OP posts:
WorraLiberty · 15/06/2012 13:05

My 20yr old used to watch it when he was about 3yrs old.

Our favourite was the 'Poo' episode Grin

girlpancake · 15/06/2012 13:05

My poor ds was backing away from the telly with worry yesterday. It's way too traumatic for kids.

CouthyMow · 15/06/2012 13:07

It's older than that - I used to watch Come Outside with my 21yo Dbro when he was about 3yo!

While it was good the first time, I am now watching them for the 5th time, so am a little fed up with Aunty Mabel!

(Dbro, DD, DS1, DS2, and now DS3. I have seen every episode at least 5 times, and some I have seen 10+ times and know word for word!!)

CouthyMow · 15/06/2012 13:08

X-post, Worra!

IcantSleep · 15/06/2012 13:08

Disco, she's useless isn't she?!
Ahhh yes the pooh episode, makes lovely lunchtime viewing that one ha ha "pippin, can you see your pooh?"

I also loved the episode where Pudsey the Children in Need mascot went mental with a chain saw and cut her head off for stealing his spotty airplane.

Pippin was a true hero in that one, especially when he went into the woods to fetch her head back.

Pancakeflipper · 15/06/2012 13:11

I think Aunty Mabel is doing a mighty fine job. I know how wellies are made thanks to her losing that dog.

3duracellbunnies · 15/06/2012 13:15

Annoys me a bit less now than when it was on eco friday or whatever they called it, failed to see how a granny flying in her own plane to Spain to get a jar of marmalade could in anyone's book be considered green and that coming from someone who doesn't compost leftovers

Went to Balamory at half term and some of those houses look quite different, filming ended there before dd1 was born!

IcantSleep · 15/06/2012 13:17

Grin worra

My favourite is the episode where they show you how toothpaste gets its stripes!

WorraLiberty · 15/06/2012 13:17

Yes I loved the toothpaste one too!

And 'How crisps are made' Grin

MammaTJ · 15/06/2012 13:18

I think yes, the RSPCA should be called, but also SS should be told about how neglectful Doras parents are. Poor girl can't be any more than 4 and she is constanlty looking after the twins and left to roam around the world with notjing more than a pet monkey for company.

moajab · 15/06/2012 13:23

I want to know where she lands her plane. Does every shop, factory and library have a runway and plane park?

MardyBra · 15/06/2012 13:24

DD is a teenager but I can still remember loads of those bloody songs.

Every. Single. Lyric.

laurenamium · 15/06/2012 13:35

Grin I was watching the water episode the other day and shouting at the Telly! She was busy wasting the water, flushing the loo just to demonstrate how it works when all along poor pippin needed a drink Sad
