to still eat my lunch tomorrow after the cat has had a go at it?

Tomorrow's lunch will consist of this evening's left overs, which I tipped in to a tupperware box. As it was still warm I left it on the kitchen bench with the lid off with the intention of putting it in the fridge once it had cooled.

The cats had been suspiciously quiet when I heard the tell-tale 'thud' on the kitchen floor. Sure enough, one of them had dragged several pieces of beef out of the box on to the kitchen bench. Angry

Short of getting a very yummy and extremely calorific sarnie from M&S tomorrow I have nowt else for lunch. So would IBU to just wipe the top layer of beef on my jumper and eat it anyway?

I would eat it. Especially if it was going to be boiled to oblivion heated through before eating. I also share my glass of water with the cat.

Dear lord, this is making me feel as bad as the hanky thread!!! :o

You are all loopy!

What a waste of food.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 13/06/2012 22:15

Have you seen how much a cat licks its arse?

HansieMom · 13/06/2012 22:57

The cat likely just reached in and took a piece of meat out. I would probably eat it. But the licking of marmite, now that was using its tongue all over the bread, the very same tongue that licks its bum?

I would not eat this beef.

Buy a sandwich tomorrow.

DamnBamboo · 13/06/2012 23:16

Quite fanjo.

Arse-licking critters.

Putting a cats paw in your mouth; before or after it took a shit and buried it/kicked it around it's litter tray.

Thats so disgusting!

holmesgirl · 13/06/2012 23:45

Lol! I couldn't eat it!

I once left a full roast chicken on the bench, turned my back for two secs and mog was straight in their with her jaws round it's bum. I just cut off a few offending pieces with teethmarks Blush

TheHouseOnTheCorner · 13/06/2012 23:49

Cats don't even give a bugger if you catch them at it! Mine just tries to join in with me anyway when I'm eatng chicken...AT the table...ON a plate!

One Christmas my mum went back into the kitchen to find our cat so far into the turkey that only its arse end was visible. It emerged guilitly licking its lips, covered in stuffing and pegged it out the door.

We were then fed said turkey on the grounds that 'the outside would be OK'.

We were fine. Cat was majorly bollocked later.

CakeBump · 14/06/2012 08:45

'the outside would be OK'.

That's just given me a lol :)

Matesnotdates · 14/06/2012 17:14

Said cat then further blotted its copybook as, on a euphoric turkey high, it then climbed the Christmas tree, teetered at the top and brought the whole lot down. God, I loved that cat.
