It's a Peter Storm kag in a bag and it leaks! It was £20, I could have gotten a £5 one and still be as drenched as I am now!

north face,
craghopper,
sprayway,
musto,
berghaus,

all make waterproof jackets, the last three being the best, I wouldn't bother with anything else as none have ever worked for me, I spend most my time outside, always have done.

a kag in a bag is never really going to be water proof.

You missed Paramo off that list :-)

I've noticed that a lot of these rainmacs say they are showerproof rather than actually waterproof - I guess it covers themselves.

If they are not breathable you are going to get wet anyway as internal moisture won't escape.

Berghaus, £80 in the sale. Very waterproof. Very much needed for cycling to work.

£20 Peter Storm waterproof trousers have been fine.

I need something waterproof

HokeyCokeyPigInAPokey · 12/06/2012 14:39

I brought dd's Peter Storm Waterproof Jackets which they wore for the first time yesterday and they were fab.

If it says waterproof not just shower proof i would return it.

When you spend many hours in the rain like I do you realise that only berghaus will do on top and that all waterproof trousers even serious mooson ( not the high street store) ones can only keep out so much wet. I have a big long heavy winter berghaus and a lighter shorter summer one too.
