To be seriously pissed off that dh's days off clash with my days off from ds and him!

Ds goes to nursery 3 full days a week.
Dh works 4 days a week.
I normally have at least one day to myself to catch up with stuff lounge around, doing feck all and have a bit of me time.

This week has been a nightmare. Ds playing up, shitty weather etc. i was looking forward to a 'me day'

Dh has just informed me he has all ds's nursery days off.
Its pissed me off Angry

I may have to boot the bastard out! Wink

YANBU. Reminds me of the little boy out of fatal attraction. I'd tell him he has to go out and entertain himself. Couldn't be doing with him clinging.

ME TIME

BonkeyMollocks · 08/06/2012 22:54

I'm a selfish biatch! I need some me time to stay relatively sane! Grin

Ds at nursery, dh at work is heaven.

Ds at nursery, dh at home getting in my way , a royal pain in my arse! Angry

It's not much of a day off for your husband if his son is around though where as it sounds as though you have 3 leisure days when your son is at nursery every week.
Can't you do something fun together? I could understand your frustration if you worked as well and had chosen a particular day off just to have him pick it too, but if you normally have 3 days every week undisturbed i think it's unreasonable to expect your husband not to share some of them.

Inertia · 08/06/2012 22:59

Tell DH how handy it'll be that you are both off together - team effort to clean the loo, scrub the oven , clean the windows - where does he want to start?

Bet you don't see him for dust.

BonkeyMollocks · 08/06/2012 23:03

He normally has the other two days when ds is at nursery.
He gets his time! I want mine!

He doesn't work much at the moment stupid work cutting hours , we spend too much time together as it is!

I think its pissed me off more because this week is half term, I was looking forward to some peace.

(Fully aware I sound like a spoiled brat Grin )

OP, totally agree....nothing worse than a DH at home when it's your day off, it's crap.
BTW, it was a girl in Fatal Attraction, not a boyGrin

Onthebottomwithawomansweekly · 09/06/2012 01:56

I think her name was Ellen

mumblechum1 · 09/06/2012 02:17

Annoys me too, when dh is working from home on my days off as he expects me to make him lunch and gets under my feet chatting when I'm MNing doing the ironing

LucieMay · 09/06/2012 02:26

I never knew if that kid was a boy or girl!
