Am on a Dell laptop.

I use words to strike out in texts to MNers, knowing they'll know what I mean!

ThePinkPussycat · 09/06/2012 19:58

ooh Euphemia I really don't have time, do I?

Nagoo · 09/06/2012 20:01

I have to press my function key and then 'insert' to make my number lock on, which is a bit of a faff.

ThePinkPussycat · 09/06/2012 20:15

Huh. Google say: Dell Inspiron 1545 = no Alt 7 bullet points Sad

And how sad am I getting fixated on this Grin?

Trills · 09/06/2012 20:15

"My first Biscuit" is the most overused LIE

Trills · 09/06/2012 20:16

Rocket propelled grenade

YABU
It's usually my favourite part of a reply!

Oh and for anyone who wants to do it on twitter/Facebook etc another mumsnetter posted this link ages ago.

Type in what you want to strike out, then copy and paste and voila!

HoneyDragonWearingLederhosen · 09/06/2012 20:21

I have never actually used a biscuit for any other purpose that to occassionally make boobees

Trills · 09/06/2012 20:22

If you are going to do a sarky strikeout your sentence has to make sense or else we will think you are an idiot not really committed to the sarcasm.

MoonlightandRoses · 09/06/2012 20:25

Hmm, Function + Insert doesn't do it either. Will just have to resort to copying & pasting from Word in order to keep up with the new fashion on here! Grin

minesapintofwine · 09/06/2012 20:26

op I would Biscuit but this made me Grin and Shock and I was a little Hmm and Confused. Im not Angry or Sad but a little bit Envy of your boldness. Blush at my tactics BUT yabu they are all overused iykwim. Smile Wink and I love them all.

Now have a Brew even a Wine and Flowers for the opportunity for me to act like a complete knob on mn.

minesapintofwine · 09/06/2012 20:27

Flowers = Thanks obviously if you know your stuff

SunshineOutdoors · 10/06/2012 13:36

I've seen a little 'TM' sign before.... does anyone know how to do that so it's all little and up in the air next to a word?

PercyFilth · 10/06/2012 14:11

Like this ? ? Wink

garlicfanjo · 10/06/2012 15:35

Here you go, chapesses :)

Warning: They don't all work on Mumsnet, even if they look right in preview! You have to be daring [teeth]

The little trademark one, that just works if you copy and paste it from Word - having used Insert Symbol.
