Ok, I know "RPG" as an acronym (although it does always make me think of the Princess Bride's giant rats), but what is "MIRC"?

bibbitybobbityhat · 08/06/2012 23:43

I don't know what either of them mean.

OP posts:
MoonlightandRoses · 08/06/2012 23:44

"RPG" is 'role player game'.

HRHOliviaMumsnet · 08/06/2012 23:45

@HoneyDragonWearingLederhosen

Olivia was that back in the olden days when you were doing the sexing, instead of the birthing and rearing stuff? [innocent enquiring face]
GiantPuffball · 08/06/2012 23:47

I fucking love it, wish everywhere had it and that I could use it in speech

MavisGrind · 08/06/2012 23:47

Oh, you're all getting beyond me now..

GiantPuffball · 08/06/2012 23:50

Gransnet get fucking cake icons? Is that because they are too old for bumsex?

MoonlightandRoses · 08/06/2012 23:52

Well, they get a cake icon, don't know what they use it for...Grin

Anniegetyourgun · 08/06/2012 23:59

While we're on the pedantic theme, so many people don't know how to use ordinary brackets either. They usually leave too many words inside. Like, instead of "We went to MIL's yesterday (as we usually do on Thursdays) and she said something weird", it goes like this : "We went to MILs yesterday (as we usually do on Thursdays and she said something weird)".

I freely admit to over-using brackets shamelessly, but at least I know when to close 'em.

Oh, and while we're on the subject of emoticons, where is my little evil smiley? I so need one.

MoonlightandRoses · 09/06/2012 00:15

What does an 'evil' smiley look like? Could it look like a cake with a cherry on top?

[Not on a soap-box me, oh no]
