Off on holiday next week. 2.5 hr plane journey with almost 2 year old and 4.5 year old. DS1 will be just fine if he has some stuff to do. I He loves a good sticker book, so went into high street newsagent today (national chain) to get him one.
We had princesses, fairies, fashion dress up etc but nothing even vaguely neutral. DS1 would have no objection to princesses and glitter but they all seemed a bit dull too. Are all sticker books aimed at girls?

You might be looking in the wrong place - it may be too late for next week but try The Book People - got '1000 stickers for boys" (Usborne, sorry can't link from this stupid computer) from there for son 2 and he loves it. Also try supermarket - they had lots of Lego sticker books last time we were looking.

sainsburys has dozens of cheap sticker books in all themes...

My kids are too old for them but I've seen loads of Postman Pat, Bob the Builder and Noddy sticker books.

There are loads of places with sticker books that aren't as you describe.

YANBU to expect books not to be pink, fluffy etc... but YABU to start this thread because you haven't actually looked around.

The £1 shops have all sorts of stickers and books.

Poundland and B&M have the best selection of sticker books.

You need to look for the sticker dressing soldiers/ action heroes/ sportsmen/ historical figures etc range by usbourne. Brilliant.

Bamboo - you're right enough, I haven't really but it was a big branch of the shop so thought they'd have a decent selection.
Don't shop in Asda cos of the Walmart thing, Lego was horribly expensive (and DS2 has a propensity for eating it) and there isn't a pound shop locally. Will try Sainsbury tomorrow.

Find a good cheap stash somewhere and buy 10 of 'em.
Will keep you in colouring books forever and you'll always have some for various car journeys/visits to granny's house etc...

We've got an excellent Lego star wars sticker book. This one. It has 2 of every sticker in it. This one but cheaper.

Was it WHS by any chance? I used to work for them, their product range is pretty crap TBH, outside of cards (although, overpriced) books and stationery. The children's section in particular is dire.

Usbourne Sticker Books on Amazon. Bit more expensive at about £3.99 but brilliant. We've had loads of them.

Morrison's have some great ones. Ds' favourite ones are the animal one and the car one. THey take ages too.

YANBU. I ordered a non-pink/glittery one the other day, the Usborne Sports Sticker Book. And guess what? Virtually all the athletes are male - women don't do sport apparently! I sent it back.

The Works has a great range of activity and sticker books, I picked some up for our holiday last year (4 and a half hour flight with a 2.9month old!).

I also got a great one from WH Smith called 'Funny face sticker book', which is exactly as described and the stickers are reusable so they can make funny faces over and over, DC loved it!

There is a pirate one (called Pirate Sticker Book), in WHSmith. You can probably get it from a website a bit cheaper somewhere. It looks brilliant.
