To wish we could watch the Daily Show in the UK?

Friend of mine keeps posting links to the Daily Show on twitter, and I can't open them because I'm in the UK. Grrr. But you can often find the best bits on other websites and/or youtube.

I find it very reassuring that there are some sane and funny people like him in the US, when our news is full of the more rabid end of their political spectrum. Bill Maher is good too.

Can't you just download it from somewhere?

Yellowraincoat - possibly, but not from the obvious place of the Daily Show website, because it blocks users outside the US, like the BBC iPlayer blocks users from outside the UK. There are ways to get round it with virtual private networks etc but that's a bit of a hassle.

It would be awful if anyone were to follow the instructions here, because that would let you watch full episodes of the Daily Show without getting involved with VPNs, and that would surely be against all sorts of copyright laws...

OK. Erm. Why not just stream it? It's not strictly legal, but it's not as if the vast majority of people don't do it.

Not sure which channel or if it's the most recent show but it's on freeview somewhere - wanna say more4 for some reason?
