AIBU to think DD should not have been so shocked when I said..

I am the same age as Kylie?! I mean, there was no need for the large display of shock. Head moving from screen to me, then back again.

Further, there was no need to comment on why she didn't have big saggy boobs mine, or why my face had 'lines' and hers didn't?

DD is 9. She is completely out of order isn't she?

Kylie? The queen of botox and fillers?

I'd point out to her that you haven't had surgery to maintain your stunning good looks Grin

CharlieUniformNovemberTango · 05/06/2012 18:21

Leave the brat!

HRHerrena · 05/06/2012 18:21

I blame the parents Grin

RepublicaEuphemia · 05/06/2012 18:21

Tell her you have big saggy boobs and wrinkles because you have a nine year-old and Kylie's never done a day's work in her life. Also introduce her to the notion of plastic surgery.

Sparklingbrook · 05/06/2012 18:21

Kylie hasn't had babies. Wink

MinnieBar · 05/06/2012 18:23

Quite - just smile sweetly and say 'Well, Kylie doesn't have a 9-yr-old DD does she?' and then give her the Raised Eyebrow Look.

IslaValargeone · 05/06/2012 18:24

Definitely time for the plastic surgery talk.

SameageasKylie · 05/06/2012 18:24

I was slightly aghast myself. I mean, surgery, Botox and no kids, aside. She does look great.

About the same size as DD herself I would imagine.

Ha! Will tell DD my big saggy boobs are all her fault.

I'd tell her she'll soon see how similar you are once you get your black hotpants on and pearly top with incredibly high shoes and did she want to come and help you choose them . . . After all you'll be wearing them when you pick her up from school next to get her friends opinion too.

RubyFakeNails · 05/06/2012 18:28

OMG she's 44?! I thought she might be a bit younger than me so maybe 35ish but 44.

I think I should just end it all now.

I'd remind your DD as I regularly do to mine, when she is that age I will be old and unmockable with my blue rinse, however she will still be in the grips of obsessing about her looks and I will have my vengeance.... mwah ha ha.

SameageasKylie · 05/06/2012 18:28

Oh MrsCampbell, just imagining my size 18 well rounded body squeezed into that outfit. Brings tears to my eyes Grin

SameageasKylie · 05/06/2012 18:31

44 ??? WTF. she is actually OLDER than me?? By one year, but younger nonetheless.

Think I need a few Wine.

Shall definitely not impart this new information to DD.

IslaValargeone · 05/06/2012 18:31

Ladies, ladies, you cannot compare yourselves to someone who has every conceivable cosmetic intervention at her disposal.
Not to mention the fact she is child free.
We'd all look shit hot if we had the opportunities for beautification she has.

SameageasKylie · 05/06/2012 18:31

*older

MrsCampbellBlack · 05/06/2012 18:36

I think she's looking great at the moment especially considering what she's been through.

Undoubtedly she's had some 'help' but if you had all her make up on etc etc - I bet you'd look very similar agewise. And thats's what I tell myself Wink

MrsCampbellBlack · 05/06/2012 18:37

Ooops too many 's'.

I used to get told I looked like her when I was younger - not so much now though Hmm

SameageasKylie · 05/06/2012 18:39

Isla, there is no amount of plastic surgery that could make me look like Kylie. Unless they cut half my body weight away Grin.

Mind you am happy with lovely DH, lovely DCs etc.

My DDs total overreaction at my pointing out our similar ages had DH sniggering into his beer though!

OP posts:
RandomMess · 05/06/2012 18:43

Dh said, oh isn't Kylie tiny.

I am a very similar height and age to her - could have thumped him.

SleepingDogz · 05/06/2012 18:44

kylie has been quite ill as well hasnt she

SameageasKylie · 05/06/2012 18:55

Didn't realise she was I'll again?

I do look after myself, nice makeup, nice clothes. DH always tells me I look lovely. He's biased.

I mist admit that DDs reaction, made me realise how much older I look compared to how I feel Sad

RedBlanket · 05/06/2012 19:03

Kylie's never done a day's work in her life
She started working as an actress in her teens and shes celebrating 25 years in music this year.

I thought that on Alan Carr she didn't look quite as smooth as she usually does.

BikeRunSki · 05/06/2012 19:06

Oi, get real. I am three years younger than Kylie and have a 3 yo and a baby. I wouldn't miss a couple of stone, I don't own any make up and I think my hairdresser has forgotten my name. But you know what - I look great!

SameageasKylie · 05/06/2012 19:58

Here here bikerunski here here

I'd love to see how she looked first thing on a morning!

RepublicaEuphemia · 05/06/2012 20:01

By work I mean getting up at the crack of dawn year after year to go to a job you don't like, but need to do to put food on the table, where your boss is a cunt and all your colleagues are cunts. That's work.

Annunziata · 05/06/2012 20:03

I like to think Kylie wouldn't look as good as me if she had worked since she was 12 and had had 5 kids. I am probably wrong but hey ho
