And her tweets about their sex life are, frankly, embarrassing.

She didn't seem the sort!

She is a bit naive though, thinking these things weren't in the public domain.

YANBU- it seems really out of character for a family audience/daytime TV host to be conducting her hot affair on Twitter and not via private text message/BBM. I'm not saying she shouldn't because it's her life etc, but I can't see it benefiting her cosy daytime image! I mean her BF is saying that he's hard- not really Lunchtime with Gino and Mel material!

It's also a bit odd that these messages are meant for him but everyone can see them.

I still like her though and she does look amazing, but I am really surprised.

I get the impression she's really lovely and down to earth. Andobviously shes stunning.

Fair enough Reality, but hanging out the back of melanie sykes' is beyond the pale! The fact he names used her full name sounds like he is getting a kick out of shagging someone famous and is a red flag.

He does seem to be the male equivalent of those awful gold digger type young women who hang about trying to grab a footballer.

But doesn't the full name come up because it's twitter? (ie to tag someone you have to put their full name?) ... I may be wrong, I know nothing about twitter really!!

It sounds to me like she didn't realise it would be public... I feel a bit sorry for her kids if they are old enough to read... But really, what harm is she doing apart from having a healthy sex life at 41 with a much younger man? :)

Well I don't think anyone on the thread is judging her for meeting a new bloke and having a whale of a time but since she is a respectable family broadcaster, it's unusual that it's splattered all over the press in graphic detail.

There is another long thread running about this.

I'm not shocked at all by anything she is doing with this tool, but I am shocked that she could be so dim as to a) not realise her tweets were public or b) think this was a good publicity stunt or c) consider the cringe-factor for her two young children.

Her lack of thinking is what really gets to me.
