To expect DairyCrest (aka Milk & More) to refund me for goods not delivered

  • and not tell me that they will hold on to my money "until you put in another order"? Shock

And then, when they're told that I don't want that, I want a refund, AIBU to think that they should provide it and not just tell me they'll do it within the next 48 hours and fail to keep their word?

And AIBU in thinking that if I have to chase DairyCrest/Milk and More up a second time to get another promise that they'll refund the money to my account within 48 hours that they really, really should do as they said they would this time?

I don't think so! Nor do I think it would have been too hard for them to contact me by email or phone on Monday to tell me that none of my order was going to be delivered. Milk and More do though. They must do. They waited for me to contact them on Monday afternoon.

"Milk and More" - are you sure? Surely it should be "No Milk and More Trouble Than They're Worth"?

oh yanbu they are a real pain to deal with if you ever have problems like this
the people in the call centres seem to have trouble understanding really basic things and are just so frustrating to deal with!!

i had to chase them up about 50 quids worth of undelivered stuff and the idiot on the other end of the phone for some reason thought i was speaking to him about one loaf of hovis which had nothing to do with anything!!

they are incompetant. i dont use them any more, shame as it is a handy service if they could manage to get it right

MarysBeard · 01/06/2012 15:09

I stopped using them after I complained and they didn't rectify it. Basically sending me milk that was right near its use by date. So you pay more for it and it goes off before you can use it. Brilliant. Also they kept running out of stuff/omitting it from my order.

I'm sorry to hear your stories MarysBeard and Firawla though Google tells me that we're far from alone in finding their service shoddy. It's such a pity too because the milkman himself is very professional. DairyCrest's shitty service is losing him money.

That is really bad. How frustrating for you. It is a shame as it seems like a really good idea in principle.

Now they're having a laugh! On Monday my online account went from "payment pending" to "paid" and "delivered" although sweet FA was delivered yet the payment has been debited from my bank account.

I logged into the account a moment ago to read this,

"Your account has been suspended as there has been a problem with your payment method and/or you have an unpaid balance of
£0.00 Please pay now and check that your payment method is still correct, then your account will be reactivated shortly. "

Cheeky SOBs! They have my money, as my bank can confirm, they refused to refund it, then they twice said they would and it would be in my account within 48 hours and twice failed to do so.

exactly the same thing they did to me, moved it from pending to delivered and paid - and then suspended the account. just keep phoning up and complaining, eventually u should be able to get it sorted

I stopped using them. I always paid in cash until the milkman stopped collecting. I kept ringing them until the balance got to about £85 when I made a final call & exploded down the phone. The next day a different chap came to collect the money and explained the milkman wasn't happy carrying cash 'round here' WTF??? It's nice here, nothing ever happens. I get my milk from the supermarket now...
