All the anti-monarchy talk on here over the last few days has made me strangley patriotic not that I'm a contrary soul or anything

Excellent, do remember it's Ma'am to rhyme with spam, not Marm. For what it's worth female Officers (Armed Services) are called Marm not Ma'am(spam)........speaking from personal experience.
