AIBU to think sales people are a different species?

They want the job done, they want it done now. Fair enough.

You go to do it, you can't, essential info is missing.

Procedure dictates you must go back through sales person, not directly to client.

Sales person won't ask appropriate questions (that you have clearly explained they need to ask) / find appropriate info or give you the means to do so.

But still wants the job done now, and I MEAN NOW!

They just find that they are suddenly unable to get a response to emails sent to me and that my voicemail is very annoying. Seems to work.

I was only saying last night that I must have missed the distribution of crystal balls that allow me to know exactly what the sales manager is thinking as well as the customer. And as for the info needed from the customer - aaaaarrrrggghhhh. To be fair, a few manage this, or are courteous in their ignorance, but alas our worst one for knowledge is also arsey when you ask for the vital bit of the jigsaw
