Have now been tapped up by the Beeb, the Evening Standard and today Times 2 because of threads I have posted. This has been in about the last 18 months. Do they pm you too and ask for interviews or comments?

OP posts:
AnyFucker · 30/05/2012 22:17

CharltonHairstyle · 30/05/2012 22:17

Wahoo!

WORRA and USUAL!

I'll never forget you, you are my first Grin

AnyFucker · 30/05/2012 22:18

I was quoted in The Times without my consent once

it wasn't about sexy timez though

Moln · 30/05/2012 22:18

Pegs off - though kept outside.

Evidently the correct way

Leftwingharpie · 30/05/2012 22:18

As someone up thread said, I didn't like the idea that a journalist had read my long ramblings about our difficulties over the years trying to reconcile my desire for children with DH's preference for none. Then I realised we didn't fit any of the profiles she was looking for, and that she hadn't read my posts at all!

QueenElizaBeatHer · 30/05/2012 22:19

No Sad

bigkidsdidit · 30/05/2012 22:19

I'm an extremely boring poster but I did, about job interviews and being a young, married, potentially pregnant woman

I ranted away at her about the issues but she didn't use my stuff Grin

GnocchiNineDoors · 30/05/2012 22:20

I shall expect a PM regarding my very thrilling 'what to make for a picnic' thread forthwith.

LineRunner · 30/05/2012 22:22

Oh gosh yes, pegs off.

Hassled · 30/05/2012 22:27

I was quoted once in the Times too and what was truly gutting was that they quoted me explaining a POV to a poster (it was about whetehr there should be a Friday Night Topic), thus making it seem like I held that POV, whereas in fact I held the diametrically opposed POV. First and last time I will ever be quoted in the Times and it was a steaming pile of poo.

ScrambledSmegs · 30/05/2012 22:28

No. I can't imagine what anyone would want me to comment on anyway. Red Dwarf, the early years?

EdgarAllenPimms · 30/05/2012 22:32

AF was it along the line so of 'leave him, he's a twat'?

Leftwingharpie · 30/05/2012 22:34

Lol AF should have her own column, never mind quoting her! Grin

AnyFucker · 30/05/2012 22:35

Edgar, surprisingly not Smile

TheCrackFox · 30/05/2012 22:38

I have never been PM'ed by the press.

However, I was once quoted in the financial section of the bloody Mail on Sunday. Flaming cheek.

scottishmummy · 30/05/2012 22:39

I'm clearly not contentious or quote worthy

Hassled · 30/05/2012 22:42

How can you say that scottishmummy? You're officially a "Disgrace to Scotland". How can a Disgrace to Scotland not be quoteworthy? Every time I see you post I think of that and it always makes me smile :o.

VivaLeBeaver · 30/05/2012 22:42

Yep, I've been approached by The Times. Told 'em to bog off.

VivaLeBeaver · 30/05/2012 22:44

Still got the message, so will c&p it here;

I do think its bad that journalists use the PM facility for this.

Hello

I am a journalist from the Sunday Times, writing about the problem of trying to squeeze modern cars into narrow parking bays. I'm trying to get in touch with some people who have experienced this to illustrate the problem. I notice that you posted about the problems of parking your Toyota Yaris in narrow spaces several years ago. Although this was some time ago, it's interesting that some spaces are too small even for cars that size. I would be really grateful if you could get in touch either by calling me on 020 7782 5820 or emailing [email protected]

Kind regards
Dominic Tobin

BreeVanDerTramp · 30/05/2012 22:44

Nope never, am disappointed to miss the peg thread though I thought about starting one this morning when I noticed I hang each garment only by pegs of matching colour.

scottishmummy · 30/05/2012 22:45

lol,yes that's my fave rebuke received
disgrace to Scotland
what like worse than river city?

Gincognito · 30/05/2012 22:51

Christ Viva, that's an absolutely fascinating topic to be asked abo...

Zzzzzz

CheshireDing · 31/05/2012 03:57

I second that, the peg bag thread was way more exciting that the "smallspacegate" thread sounds Grin

Pegs off, rotary line in garage.

VivaLeBeaver · 31/05/2012 07:30

I know Grin

I had a suspicion that the article might be something along the lines of "stupid woman can't even park a Yaris"

Sparklingbunting · 31/05/2012 07:34

I started a thread on which is the best loo roll last week. No PM yet. Confused
