Just notice a flyer with my statement saying that in future I will only receive annual statement on my account. Its an active current account.
Apparently if I want them monthly I need to go paperless.
Ie reduce their expenses but increase mine.
Are all banks like this?

How does it do this?

BertieBotts · 29/05/2012 12:35

Why does it increase your expenses?

yorkshire84 · 29/05/2012 12:39

Cost of printing statements as I like a hard copy to tick transactions off.

If you want to print them off

Seona1973 · 29/05/2012 12:40

what is increasing your expenses? You can search back up to 7 years online and get 3 months worth of statements sent our for free if you need them

Seona1973 · 29/05/2012 12:41

why would you need to print them?

yorkshire84 · 29/05/2012 12:46

Can you get them sent out seona?
Don't use online banking so don't know.

Oh I see, well that is annoying, I thought you could still opt-in.

Would it work for you to change over to using an electronic format e.g. downloading to excel once a month and ticking off on there?

Seona1973 · 29/05/2012 12:53

why dont you register for online banking - it is easy to use and keeps you up to date with your account. There is also a moble app where you can get a mini-statement, transfer funds, etc using your mobile phone.

You can order up to 3 months statements twice a year so you would only end up with 6 months worth of statements free.
