AIBU to want to take my children (6,9,11) into London to watch the flotilla?
Will we be able to see enough to make it fun for them or will they be just miserable because of the crowds?

er what a strange aibu!

no you are being highly unreasonable Grin

not knowing your children i can only hazard a guess that they would enjoy it Grin

WorraLiberty · 28/05/2012 23:05

It depends on your kids really and where you decide to stand I expect?

Olympia2012 · 28/05/2012 23:05

Why not, we are going!

I took my younger sister down for the royal wedding last year and loved it. Atmosphere was amazing. For the Jubilee I am taking six of my Guides down as we have tickets to a special youth area. Hoping for good weather.

My son would have a melt down, only you know how your children will react

Sorry I didn't express myself very clearly- I have never been into London for one of these big events and do not know how overwhelming the crowds can be. I suppose I am just trying to find out if other people are taking children in, and if it is worth the effort.

Well we're going - ours are 10, 7 & 4 - but we are taking one adult per child! No idea what it will be like, most probably very crowded! We have an escape route planned to my dsis's flat - have a suitable 'escape' or alternative destination if the dc don't like the crowds.
