is nothing to do with a hotel's fault, and shouldn't be put in as a stick to beat it with and warn others away?!
How the heck is that a valid fault of the hotel?!
Or am I going crazy? Smile

Bless, in fairness, she was of the high maintenance variety expecting the earth from a package holiday out of season.

I've had far too much Wine tonight!

squeakytoy · 28/05/2012 23:19

startail · 28/05/2012 23:23

They do take a digger and clear the dead weed that washes on to the east coat of Majorca.

And there is no right way to make Sangria, every bars is different that's part of the fun.

PatriciaHolm · 28/05/2012 23:23

Oh dear. This thead will be going poof in 3...2..1..

(even though it's rather funny)

Groovee · 28/05/2012 23:25

I had the nerve to go to work that day Sad and it went poof while I did my 3 hour shift

confusedpixie · 28/05/2012 23:26

I did wonder if the thread went poof last time. Was it an mner or something? Surely that's the only way this could have caused a bunfight?

underthepalmtrees · 28/05/2012 23:26

Oops didn't mean to start a thread that might go poof! Just read it somewhere else and wanted to know I wasn't going mad in thinking some of the complaints were crackers!! Grin

It went poof I think because of her other blogs which were about her birth experiences. so as long as we avoid those ones, all should be ok.. Confused

Inedit · 28/05/2012 23:38

The blogger posted a thread on here and got slated, but then it was a bit mean about her birthing experience

confusedpixie · 28/05/2012 23:41

I'm looking at her other blogs now. The birth stories one, fair enough but she obviously feels she's a storyteller. Her other blog is just weird. I am liking the 'turned down a part on TOWIE' story! Ha.

confusedpixie · 28/05/2012 23:43

Ha at the way she comments on it by the way, not that she got offered an extras part on TOWIE (though that is ironic as it is supposed to be about real life and whatnot!)

BlueBirdsNest · 28/05/2012 23:44

I've heard read ones' about not turning the sun down when it's too hot

Personally I like seaweed .........it's not a proper beach without it and shells

BlueBirdsNest · 28/05/2012 23:46

did she give birth on the beach?

in seaweed?

confused

confusedpixie · 28/05/2012 23:50

Blue: She seems to have three blogs on her blogger that are linked via her profile. One about her hotel experience, one about birth stories and one about her "DIY Beauty Tips" from what I can tell that is a generic blog tbh. I'm guessing she linked the hotel horror story and MNers discovered the other two blogs in the process?

MamaMaiasaura · 28/05/2012 23:50

The toilet one made me lol. bet she was pissed

TheUnMember · 29/05/2012 00:03

The blog has been changed. It's no where near as ranty. Plus the hilarious mistakes have been removed. No more manly jelly or dog for dinner :(

MamaMaiasaura · 29/05/2012 07:04

Oh yes the dog for dinner has gone Sad

So mumsnet served a purpose for her then of editing her blog. He should have a thing on there saying edited by..... Grin

BlackAffronted · 29/05/2012 07:13

The blog has totally changed! The photos are all gone, she has removed all the ranty bits and all the laughable parts.

scarletforya · 29/05/2012 07:30

There were a lot of 'biscuites' instead of snacks. Terrible hardship it was.

I agree, it's not nice to mock, and nowhere have I mocked - I just wanted to know if IWBU in thinking that seaweed on the beach is something you should expect (It's. A. Beach!! Grin
and that just because you're wanting certain foods and they're not on the menu, that's not the fault of their hotel?!
As where I read it, I seemed to be the only one who thought so!

it sounds like all the reasons not to go all inclusive in one fell swoop. Sounds shit and like shes been mis-sold

As for too seaweedy. Sounds silly, but when i went to spain in december one year the beaches were completely covered in it, which is cool for exploring off season, but of course they clear it up for the summer usually otherwise the beach is unusable for what most people want it for. Its not a particularly controversial wish for someone wanting a beach holiday

Too much sand on beaches has been a problem for a long time. As Lewis Carrol demonstated:

The Walrus and the Carpenter
Were walking close at hand;
They wept like anything to see
Such quantities of sand:
"If this were only cleared away,"
They said, "it would be grand!"

"If seven maids with seven mops
Swept it for half a year.
Do you suppose," the Walrus said,
"That they could get it clear?"
"I doubt it," said the Carpenter,
And shed a bitter tear.
